Movements and Postures

Are you comfortable?

Since we spend most of our work time sitting in front of our computer, being well installed at our desk is essential.
At home or on site, adopting the right sitting posture and exercising regularly go a long way for our health. Read below how to sit up properly, revise your ergonomy basics and learn how to stretch to feel at your best during your day at work.

Upgrade your home office

If you've enrolled successfully for a minimum of 2 days teleworking a week, you're eligible for a one-shot premium allowance to upgrade your home office. Negotiated rates are also available from Dell and Microsoft for IT equipment.

Revise the basics

Ergonomic equipment is designed to reduce fatigue and discomfort. At Amadeus, all chairs in macrozones can be adjusted and half of standard desks are adjustable in height. Specific equipment (adapted chair, mouse, etc.) can be obtained upon medical prescription.

Here's some advice:

  • Adjust your chair settings to meet the correct posture recommendations.
  • Center both your computer and keyboard in front of you.
  • Position your keyboard at the level of your elbows so that your hands and wrists are straight.
  • Make sure that the top of the computer's monitor is at eye level and that the monitor is placed at arm's length.
  • Rest your eyes regularly by looking far ahead.
  • Avoid window glare when positioning your monitor screen by placing it at an angle to the window.

A healthy mind in a healthy body

Take regular breaks during your work day: take a few steps, get some fresh air and natural light, stretch your back and upper body, regularly set your eyes on a distant object.

Check out our sport clubs!
